Chapter 4.17

Meet my wedding planner, Mrs. Jones.

She's the one that Jack's family has recommended. I really should trust their taste since beginning. Prior to Mrs. Jones, I consulted with 5 other planners (FIVE! talk about the perfectionist in me!) but none of them could meet what I really want.

But look at what Mrs. Jones has suggested for the wedding dress. So beautiful, innit?

The venue will be held at both my place and Jack's. There'll be nothing fancy about the one at my place. Persey will be the exec chef of the day (proud of you sissy!) and Uncle O's band is going to come and play wedding songs, all for free! I would prefer it this way, 'cos this is how my family tradition works. As for the one at Jack's place, it's gonna be crazily extravagant. His siblings are flying back in their own helicopters to attend our wedding. (actually that's gonna be my first time meeting them!). The party will take place mainly at their garden and swimming pool areas. How many invitees? FIVE Thousand. I don't spell it wrongly. Out of FIVE THOUSANDS I only know the parents. LOL LOL. Thus I'm not so into it. Neither is Jack. But if we're not to do it, the parents will surely be upset. So yeah...

Oh yeah the big day is only one month away by the way... We don't see the point of doing it any later, so yes. :) EXCITEMENT.

Chapter 4.16

As soon as I landed this morning, I quickly rushed to tell Aunt Od about my good news. Still gotta respect her cos she's the eldest in the house now. Persey was still the first person to know of course. I phoned her right away that night, and we both burst into tears. Ain't she the most lovable sissy on earth ever.

Before I decided on anything, Jack already introduced me to the wedding planner that has taken care of all the family's wedding events. It kinda pissed me off at first, because then I wouldn't have any choice anymore. What if my princess-like wedding dream is killed?

"Don't worry, honey... we can always change if you don't like her. She's currently the top-ranked planner in town, let's see what she could offer us..."

Alllllright. As I'm still practically on off day, I would be going around the town with Persey tomorrow to scout for some ideas...

Unpacking time... sighs. I wish I could steal one of the butlers! :P

Chapter 4.15

As many of you would have guessed, he popped the question. Done in Jack's way. Extravagant one! Woohoo.

He took me to this restaurant that could see the entire Saris from top. He had the whole restaurant reserved. The decoration was adorned in elegant white and red colors. He knows I love lilies, so lilies were the flower that dominated the room design, coupled with some roses. A quartet was playing my favorite songs throughout. And as soon as we finished my favorite dessert, he knelt and asked, "Polly Chopin, will you marry me?"

I burst into tears as he said that. How I wish I could phone mom away to tell her this amazing news. At that very moment i missed her so so much.

Mrs. Jack :) My future name. :) :) I had the most amazing night ever. We're flying back to Sims town next week, and what's next? Wedding planning!!! *frantic*

Chapter 4.14

Hello!!

Updating from the chateau at Saris. Our vacay has been very wonderful. During our times at the beach resort, we're treated like king and queen endlessly. Greeted by a team of A-list butlers as we stepped on the resort, we're briefly taken around the compound to view all the amenities available... such as XL-sized jacuzzi that's available for only the 2 of us 24/7 with transparent glass as the ceiling (yes that means we could gaze at the stars while having our jacuzzi!!), aromatherapy spa, library that's 3x bigger than the town library in Sim town!, buffet pastries and alcohols, personalized chefs based on diets, etc. etc. It's absolute haven for any girls in this world! We just arrived in Saris this morning, and it turned out that Jack's parents are here for a short trip too. I met John and Helena. First impression? Just not impressed! Haha. The moment they found out that I'm an ordinary scientist without any spare moolahs to spend, they sort of looked down on me, but who cares when the son is already in love with me right? Teehee!

Fortunately though we're spending the night at different chateaus (but boy the parents have really loud 'night'!) :P

We're going to be in Saris for only 2 days. Jack said that's the best way to enjoy Saris, because when it's too long, we could have lost the romance side of it. I got to dress up for tonight cos he's saying it's gonna be one wonderful memorable night. Woooo. I'm really really excited!!

Till later.

Chapter 4.13

Persey's family is still trying to stand up from the loss of Uncle O in the family. God knows how much they love each other and how much the parents' presence mean to Quinn.

Persey and Quinn have been accompanying each other every night.

But I must salute how Persey chooses to continue her life, despite the loss of the dear one. Normally Uncle O would send and pick her up from work, regardless of what time it was... then would go out to dine while waiting for Quinn to finish her class. But now that he's gone, Persey has to do them all alone, but still following the same formula. Have coffee/dinner somewhere and then pick Quinn up.

It's amazing what love can do to you, isn't it?

Chapter 4.12

Enough with the Isaiah's topic. The moment I saw the invitation, I threw it away to the trashbin.

On a much happier note, Jack and I have been officially together now. Well, since that incident which I addressed him as 'boyfriend' actually. He said he's been the happiest man alive since. LOL.

To date, we've been together for about 1 month now. Next month we both take one month off to go for our first vacay together. We'll be flying off to this exclusive beach to spend 3 days there. He is a regular member to one of the top class hotels there and for this year he's got a share of super suite room he's yet to use. Since his last girlfriend whom he broke up with 3 years back, he hasn't been going there at all. "Cos it's too romantic to be alone there." Next stop, we're flying to the most romantic place on Sims world called Srance. We're going to stay in Saris for a week. He owns a chateau there, so accommodation really isn't a problem. It's facing the famous River Siviera too. He said I'm going to love it much there. Next stop is we're going to Some, another exotic and romantic place. I've been wanting to visit all these places actually. Now it finally takes off to be real! Yay!

I'm going to groom myself really well before our 'honey-moon'. That includes getting another new tidier haircut, lose 5 kg to fit in my bikini, yay. yay.

Chapter 4.11

Isaiah came to visit last night. He heard of Uncle O's passing and came to pay his sympathy. At the same time, he also spread the wedding invitation to us. After which, he dragged me to the corner of the room and said...

"I'm so sorry of hurting you, Polly. I just have to do this."
"What do you mean?"
"She's having our baby."
"So, wait. You've been with her all these while even when we're sort of seeing each other?"
*silence*
"I can't believe this, Is. I thought all we had was near perfection. We got along so well and being with you was all I looked forward to. Alas, behind me. You're having sex with your ex girlfriend!"
"I'm truly sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you that way."
"Then in what way?"

Not long after, Jack jumped into our conversation too. I had to quickly introduce them to each other before Jack smelled something suspicious. I addressed him as "boyfriend", funnily enough.

Chapter 4.10

It's during this bad time too, Jack came to the rescue the most. Jack was the guy I was talking about, fyi.

Having studied Psychology, he's been our sole confidant to the family. Without whose consolation, we wouldn't have been able to stand up again.

I knew him from this concert that I went to a couple of weeks back. He's few years older than me and is the owner of his own clinic. Don't look at his wardrobe though, he's the humblest guy I've ever come upon. Because of this incident, we're so close now.

Blessing in disguise? I don't know.

Chapter 4.9

Uncle O passed away.

This is too much of a sudden news really. I'm still trying very hard to grasp myself upon this. It's just last week we went out together for Quinn's 16th birthday. Now he's gone.

Accident, it is.

They had this annual concert together, and while driving home, Uncle O was apparently very drunk. He had too much of celebration because the concert fund that they gathered for this year made up to twice their target. Colleagues couldn't stop congratulating him. It's when he was going home it happened.

Persey couldn't retain herself really. Neither could Quinn. I've been trying to hold them back up. Thanks to Pepita and aunt O too.

I still can't believe this.

Chapter 4.8

I turn the big 3-0!

I've decided that I'm going to make the fullest of what's in front of me.

First thing I did though, was to go get a new haircut. Something similar to Persey, but dudette is blessed with the ginger color she has.

In conjunction with my big day, my little niece Quinn also turned 16. Being on tight budget, Persey and Uncle O couldn't throw her the bash she's been wanting. But we're bringing her out for a surprised dinner tonight! She's really pretty just like Persey. And such a nice happy family they are.

BTW, somebody's bringing me out for my big 3-0 celebration too. Details letter. Gotta on up my mascara and go out in a bit!

Chapter 4.7

Each one of us has finally moved on.

Beautiful little Quinn.

Isaiah and I... hh... we ended it even before it began. Janice and him are officially back together, and rumor has it at the workplace that they're tying the knot very soon. Is didn't even bother to come to talk to me after that. How broken hearted I am.. no word could ever describe.

Good thing that now we have a "girl chatroom" held amongst all the women in the house weekly at the park. I poured out everything to the ladies. From how we met till how we ended. I've not written any single thing about that have I?

Is and I met at this Science conference back then. I was the assistant organizer while he is also part of the team. We had to work closely because he had to source out for the suppliers while I had to coordinate the team. Just so happen that we had to go out just by ourselves pretty often to run errands. We just clicked in every conversation. It felt so warm to be around him. I was so shy to admit that I liked him, because it'd be my first time in my life. (I know).

It grew into a weekly kind of thing gradually. He would ask me out, for just a simple dinner or movie. We both like Middle eastern cuisine, so all we'd been doing is just trying the restaurants out one by one every week. I had to say when Friday came, all I looked forward to was just end of day. So that I could quickly see him again.

He almost never talked about Janice and his relationship. Which carried me to thinking that they're really over. But how wrong had I been. It's only recently I learnt that actually he'd been contacting Janice discreetly when we're still 'together'. Mom played a role too, because she tried to persuade both parties. But I can't blame mom for she didn't know.

Anyway, our 'relationship' started to fade when I spotted him going out with Janice the other day. I tried to ask him what's going on, but he's been saying that I was suspecting him. That I was all negative.

But oh boy guess what's the next thing I know? They're tying the knot.

Arrrrgh.

Chapter 4.6

Mom has left to visit dad yesterday. (well, if she finally agrees with us calling him 'dad' still).

It's a serene and peaceful kind of passing. Persey and I were left in awful speechless situation. We're brought up by her own two hands. She went through her tough marriage life no matter what. She's a strong woman by whom I'll always be inspired.

Persey seems to be having hard time letting it go. Especially now that Quinn also comes to learn the new term 'death' in her vocabulary.

Chapter 4.5

Mom has been sick. She's been refusing to eat. "Just not in the mood", she said. She's been confiding a lot in me that she has already started to feel old and yet she's so worried about her two daughters. I'm still not married, while Persey and the family is still so dependent on money. They are on the right track, but lots of times mom spots that Uncle Ocean looks sad, especially when it's early of the month when bills start to come in. But I told her everything's surely gonna be fine. Due to Uncle O & Persey's jobs, it's gonna be hard for them to become really rich. But as long as they're happy, we should be happy for them as well.

Persey made mom's favorite dimsum.

Little Quinn has been a princess in the house. She picks up things very quickly.

Isaiah and me haven't been in speaking term since weeks ago. He seems to agree to patch up back with Janice. I'm sad. But I've really got nothing to say if it really does happen. We spent quite a good time before though. He brought me to this really romantic place by the bay. We dined at this really expensive restaurant (which I shouldn't tell Persey I went there, 'cos it's her restaurant's nemesis) overlooking the entire Sims town. After dinner, he brought me walking by the way. Just the two of us.

Chapter 4.4

Quinn is a no-fuss baby. Persey is quite lucky to have her as daughter, we all take turns of taking care of Quinn, because Persey and uncle Ocean simply can't afford a babysitter.

On my side, what's been going on? I've been close to this guy called Isaiah from work. He's funny and definitely mature enough to be my *cough*husband*cough*. I click with him really well. He likes metal music, just like I do, he likes eating cobbler, and me too! That is a weird combination enough right? LOL.

He's my ex supervisor, currently working under my mom's team. Isaiah used to go out with Janice, also from work, and also who worked under mom before. Mom likes her very much and paid a deep sympathy when both of them split up. Janice still remains one good friend of mom too. Isaiah plays an important part in mom's team too because he's kinda like her right hand assistant. Now the bad news is mom is trying to patch Isaiah and Janice back together, so imagine if me telling mom straightaway abt what's been going on between Is and me, things would be so difficult.

But I'm not rushing either. Things will definitely get better. ;)

Chapter 4.3

Persey's birthing story is full of drama. *chuckles* It started with her water broke while she's watching TV... uncle Ocean's sitting beside her but he had no idea what that was. He's just super ignorant like that. The only sentence he said was "you're leaking, honey..." Persey took few secs to figure out what he's trying to say. But after that Persey screamed out loud "My baby is cominggggg!!!"

Mom and Pepita were left in shock.

Uncle Ocean quickly and ecstatically drove Persey to the hospital, leaving us all back. They're totally caught up in their own happiness of welcoming the little sweetbun. So cute. When we arrived there, Persey was already pushed to the delivery room. Uncle Ocean couldn't follow because he has a weak heart. :P In just 15 mins, a beautiful baby girl was brought out... whom has been named Quinn.

Welcome Quinn Chopin, everyone.

Chapter 4.2

Persey & uncle Ocean's wedding story blew off as the top-notch gossip around the town at the moment. Everywhere I go, either the grocery store, office, gym, there are always ppl talking about them. And what's worse is they keep comparing me to her! Sighs. Well she's my sister, how am I supposed to hate her for having better fortune than I am? I know I'm still single and all, but hello I'm not even bothered with boyfriend issue for now.

Persey is doing great by the way, while mom is on the contrary, her health is wearing off. There are couple of times that she gets high fever and vomit. She's old, though still considered quite healthy for her age. I really hope she could live up to see her first grandchild.

Anyway there is a bit of constraint on uncle Ocean's financial though. Being a musician, his pay isn't that high enough to pay off for a family, especially with a little one coming out soon. And needless to say, it's not comfortable for him to always ask from mom. I'm really willing to help with all my ability, but I'm afraid that could offend Persey too... I caught her complaining to uncle Ocean this before over a dinner... but I'm not sure.

Chapter 4.1

Hey there! It's Polly here. I'm gonna start my first post by writing about Persey & uncle Ocean's wedding! They just got married today and they're simply the most sweetest and romantic couple I've ever seen. I'm really envious of them -- I'm still single and am not even sure if I could get a boyfriend at all! By the way, Persey has also been pregnant -- 2 months long. It's double happiness huh?

It might sometimes feel very unfair as I'm the elder sister and supposedly I should be the one tying the knot and falling pregnant first. Huh! But anywayyyy…

I've also graduated from the Sims Medical school a week ago -- with Simma cum laude =) Mommy came to the graduation handing me a beautiful bouquet of flower with a note attached on it "Congrats, my daughter!". Persey and uncle Ocean also came. I could see the baby bump already on my little sister!

Chapter 3.30

Ocean proposed to Persey. :)

Again I must tell you, they're like couple made in heaven. I could really see the love in their relationship. Having said that, having seen my daughter finds her true love, this shall be my last post in this journal too. I'm bestowing whatever I have to my first daughter Polly to take over. There's no war no nothing upon giving her this legacy. I understand Polly and Persey. This legacy thingy is just a black-on-white thing, afterall every thing about this legacy will practically be done by the both of them.

Chapter 3.29

Like mother like daughter, Pepita too always seems to have trouble with my 2 daughters. She always tried to pick a fight with them. My daughters are always cool with her, nonetheless.

Persey made sushi for all of us tonight and she made it just up to perfection! I'm so proud of her. Upon finishing her high school years, she's already told me that she's going to apply for scholarship into the Sims Culinary School. I'm quite confident that she stands a chance.

Persey is very close with Ocean, her uncle. The closeness is sometimes indescribable, as though they're couple made in heaven. I know that could sound like a such a weird statement, but you really should get to see what's happened. Ocean has watched her grow up. He's cared for her like a father when she's little. When she became a teenager, Ocean was practically like her first boyfriend. He picked her up from school and took her out for meals and such. They went to catch movies together. I was initially very against their relationship. But it really felt quite unfair after awhile.

Persey told me that she has almost never treated him like her uncle. Their close-knit relationship has gone way beyond that. I told her I'm fine with it, if she's sure with that and all the consequences. Who am I to judge who and who can and cannot be together? Odelia is sure making noise about it, but then again, it's my daughter and it's not like she's stealing somebody's husband, like what somebody did.

Chapter 3.28

At the park

Both daughters are diligent girls

Polly's a good elder sissy

Persey asked me to take this Simderella shot of her. Haha

She takes a liking in fishing too!

Chapter 3.27

Aunty Nadine just left us. The last conversation that I had with her is about her worry over Odelia & Pepita. She too is worried about Robi because she hasn't seen the father side of him. Oh well, poor Pepita. I'm her aunt too any way, taking care of her is also part of my responsibility. As well as Ocean's. Sighs.

Polly has bloomed into a beautiful and smart teenager now. With all the hoo-haas that she went through when she's a kid (no 'dad', no Odelia, they're your nobody, etc.), she's still a very hospitable person towards Odelia. Well done, little girl. Just don't worry too much now. Study less. Go out more. LOL.

Persey too has bloomed into a pretty young woman. Exploring in the kitchen is her cup of tea. She's learning how to make spaghetti carbonara in this picture.

Alrighty I need to rest now as there's a celebration party for me. Yes, I just made it to the top of my career. :)

Chapter 3.26

I haven't blogged much about my career. Truth be told, I'm not as successful as my mother or grandma Nala, not even closest in any way. So who said a Magna cum Laude does assure your future?

All what matters in my life now is just my 2 daughters. I thank God for giving me such adorable girls. Polly is soon becoming a teenager, while Persey is only 1 year behind her.

Polly

Persey

Polly, as opposed to Persey is a much outspoken and outgoing person. In times when she's free, library is her favorite spot. She was even given a free membership already. Having said that, she also has more friends. They do come and play almost everyday after school. Academic wise, Polly is a high-flyer without being seemed as a hardcore anal. I guess it's just in her gene ;) (and no, certainly not from Robi the skunk). Persey is prettier in every way. She does things very delicately and takes a huge passion in Culinary as well as Music. That's why she grows really closely with her uncle, Ocean. They're really like bestfriends, though being almost 20 years apart.

I'm glad having them in my life and have never regretted even for a second being the proud mother of them two. Finally I find peace in my life. :)

Chapter 3.25

As the heiress, I need to jot down every single history that happens in our family line.

So, just few months after Persey's born, Odelia also gave birth to baby girl named Pepita. Because she's only a new start-up artist, she didn't earn much money and thus need to use some of the baby stuffs of mine, like Polly's crib. Polly now sleeps with me.

She kinda feels sorry for what she did, but each time she tried to make an apology, she couldn't help but inserted that the idea of my divorce with Robi is actually because Robi came to realize he loves her more. In short, it's not her fault. I told her to stop such sordid bullshit. I don't care. It's over.

I made a fine line to her and Robi though, that Pepita isn't a sister of Polly or Persey in any way. So stop calling the both of them "Sissy". It just doesn't apply.

I know it's hard for a little girl like Polly to comprehend such massive situation but she's just going to know that this is all worth it in the end. Robi left us, to build a family with her aunty instead. They didn't get married (yet?). I don't know.

Aunt Nad hasn't been in her best of health lately and it's also all thanks to her beloved daughter who made her babysit Pepita all alone at night, just because she couldn't stay awake and feel creeped at night alone. Boo!

Chapter 3.24

Odelia and I have clearly been on non-speaking term eversince. I so wanna kick both of them out of my house, but I can't. My mother has told me right from beginning that in our legacy, such thing will never happen. Whoever's born into this family, stays inside this house.

I've been limiting Polly's communication to both of them too, anyway. I reprimand Polly everytime she tries calling Robi as 'dad'. He's no longer his dad, except biologically. We girls must grow tough!

Speaking of which, my other girl was born last week. Contributing to my mother's liking for parsley, I named her Persey. That's the personality that I've seen in her too. If there's any flower species that's to be associated with her, it's baby's breath. So light, so pretty, so feminine. Again, I'm not sure whose gene is carried from. LOL.

The three of us have been having good time despite all the hardships. Polly has started going to nursery, so less trouble inside the house. Robi always seems to attempt to go near Persey, but everytime that crosses my eyes, I will tell him to stop. Having to share a biological dad under one roof is already a massive problem. I don't want any further communication appears between them.

Polly is such a darling. She's the kind of kid who doesn't talk much in the family. Nevertheless she's very sweet and extremely genius. Maths seems to be of her utmost interest. Oh no, not another scientist in the family already!

Persey always has thing about pleasing Polly. Polly wants her toy, she gives her, otherwise they will start pulling each other's hair. So cute. I also wish I had a sister like that.

Chapter 3.23

The next morning, the divorce papers were delivered by my lawyer. I signed it, and I also forced Robi to sign that.

"Robi, this is for us. For the baby" I told him.

"What do you mean?" He seems stirred away.

"I don't want this baby grown up having an 'imaginary' daddy. You're not his daddy anymore, besides biologically. So I need you to sign this, to make it all clear."

"Why can't I be his daddy? What do you mean, Odetta? This baby is born out of a marriage. We've promised to love each other til the end of time."

"Ooooh cut the crap, silly! Just sign this paper and we're done."

"No."

"What do you mean No? Who're you kidding this time? Who're you fooling? Odelia is pregnant, isn't she? You're soon gonna be a dad too afterall."

"Damn you, woman."

"EXCUSE ME?"

"You've never loved this family. And that's why I love Odelia more. She's more domestic and I'm sure we're gonna build a happier family."

He signed the paper, and I slapped him away. "Thanks, loser." - I told him.

Chapter 3.22

I went for a checkup today because I've been spotting blood. Doctor told me I was too stressed and thus needed bed rest til I give birth. Me staying at home... whole day whole night? Doing nothing? I know on one side I could concentrate more time for Polly, but I just can't seem to get away with my plan of divorcing Robi.

"WHAT DIVORCE, ODETTA? You're carrying my baby, for pete's sake."

"Precisely. That's why. I don't want OUR baby to grow up to a father like you. It's a total shame."

"Whatever! But that's not gonna happen. I have NOTHING with Odelia, okay?"

"Nothing, huh? You think what? I'm blind? I saw a tester inside her room this morning. Obviously I didn't go in, but she carelessly left it at the door. She's pregnant TOO. Congratulations to you, afterall not having my baby call you dad, you will still have someone else to call you that."

"What?"

"Excuse me? What? Too happy?"

"Damn!"

Since then I've been omitting "daddy" word to teach Polly. Feel sorry for her that that word will never exist in her dictionary.
