Chapter 1.8

Hi bloggers, i'm finding hard time to sleep. My trimester is here and it's rather 'killing' me. I can't really move too much. In fact, I can't stand for too long anymore. We haven't gone to the gynae to have the gender of the baby checked. We'd rather keep this as surprise. Eversince this pregnancy started, I have been doing lots of gardening. Hopefully this trait of mine goes down to my future baby.

Chapter 1.7

We celebrated our first month wedding anniversary today. He made me heart-shaped waffles. I've always loved his food but not this morning. I woke up with a funny feeling from my stomach. I know the first time we 'slept with love covering us' was when we first got married, and it's pretty… wild I should say. Inside my heart I truly wished this couldn't be the price i had to pay yet. Nooo! It must be the pasta I had last night at the bistro. I kept debating with myself but Parker convinced me to go and have a check. Just to make sure everything's in right order.

The doctor sentenced me, or rather congratulated me "Congratulations Marie… Your honeymoon 'prize' is here… You are going to be a mother." My heart skipped its beat when I first heard that. How could it be so successful? C'mon! I then went and have a recheck with another doctor, and they gave me the same answer.

Well I guess I had no choice but to live it up happily, right?

Evening after work, I met up with Parker at the place where we first knew each other to celebrate, the Central Park. And I announced the news to him. He's more than happy. Sigh of relief.

Chapter 1.6

Newly-weds… lovebirds… whatever you want to call us. We're enjoying our honeymoon =) 'Til then bloggers!

Chapter 1.5

Lots of fun good news is going to load this entry. Ready?

It's been 2 months I've known Parker. We're officially going steady now. =) Life has totally changed for me. Every now and then he would come by my place just to deliver my favorite Chinese food. When my job swamps me he would voluntarily offer his ever-so-good massage. Honestly, I think he could be the one. He has also started work since beginning of this month. He understands it well that I want someone who's mature and knows how to be responsible of himself. He told me that he's interested in the corporate world, so I introduced her to my neighbor who happens to own a business company. Parker has been ascending well too in his career. So happy.

It's circa last week, in front of my house, he proposed to me.

"Marie, I do not want to let you live alone anymore. I'm ready to leave my house albeit what my mom has to say about me. I love you and I really do. Will you marry me?"

For a moment I was so stunned and so happy at the same time. I just didn't expect it to be so fast. Everything's happening in lightspeed. I don't deny that there's still a tiny bit of hesitation inside my heart. On one side my little tiny heart is still clinging on to my memory of Gabriel, the other tiny part of my heart says that Parker carries a flirt trait with him, which might worry me a lot.

His cellphone consistently rings. It could be Melissa dropping him a message just to ask him meet her at the Central Park to pass him her freshly-baked cookies. It could be Linda ringing him just to share her feeling with him. Many sorts of bushes with him. Although I know he loves me.

Nevertheless, I said yes. He has been paying lotsa sacrifices for me too. "I do, Parker :)" He gave me his grandmother's ring for me to pass on to our future heiress.

That night, we slept with all the love in the world covering us.

Chapter 1.4

Hey, it's been so long since last I updated.

I've been having so much fun at work. I befriend this guy called Lucas who comes and fetches me everyday to go to work. I learnt from him that apparently our boss is a hardcore gamer. Just like I'm one. As such, I've been getting along real well with my boss which resulted in my endless promotion at work. So happy!

And now comes the complicated part; the relationship! After I got back from work Parker did stop by during his night jogging session. I suspect it's a deliberate act because I'm an all-nighter and I've never seen him all along. LOL. Anyway, knowing that I was still awake, he suggested us to go out and have supper together.

From our conversation I learnt that he's a high-achiever. He isn't the typical richie I suspected as. A freshie out from college and seeking for a job. We had a very nice conversation with the sun rising as our backdrop. How more not romantic ya? :) I can't really say that I fall head-over-heel for him, but I certainly know he's the one who will be my husband. Though he's a bit younger than me (2 years old, that is) he can act like an elder brother, a father, a bestfriend, and a boyfriend to me.

Inside my heart I still secretly think about Gabriel...

Chapter 1.3

So long Gabriel! I've never heard from him anymore. At all. Oh sod it... just a highschooler!

My job has been quite fruitful. I've been getting a lot of promotions and opportunities here and there. The other day while I was having my little dinner, my boss rang me on my mobile. My heartbeat skipped! Because it's the first time he ever rang me, in the middle of the night.

"Marie, I am reviewing the job performance of each of my staff. I just can't wait 'til tomorrow to let you know that you have been nominated best staff of the month! Or in fact the best staff I've ever had by far. You met my expectation and everyone else voted for you too. So congratulations! Your pay will be raised by 15 simoleons."

I was jumping all around when I heard that. That night, I went to the gym to exercise more to level up my Athletic skill.

The next day was my day off. I decided to go to the movie to see what potential freelance job/opportunity I could pick up. I have always loved watching movie. I remember at mama's house her husband bought for her a 50" TV installed in the toilet. I would kill to just get the chance to take my bubble bath while watching my favorite series "Simfather". Anyway...

I spotted this good looking guy. Well he certainly meets my expectation to be my children's father. But oh well, he's there with his own set of family. Heartbreaker is so not my lifetime wish, so forget about it.

Later on I headed to the Central Park. It's been ages since the last time I visited a park. Central Park has its own unique style. Many people come to play chess, hold their BBQ party, gather friends for picnic, etc. I clearly didn't have any reason to go there... I was just bored. I've run out of books to read at home, and I don't have the moolah to purchase a proper TV set.

Then I saw this group of richie getting off their limousine. There's this guy, Parker who came by and offered his hand to me. "Hi, I'm Parker. Would you fancy a chess challenge?" he said that in a very thick Simish accent. "Sure." I seriously don't know why I said that because my skill has gotten rusty.

"Parker, your turn." I woke him little.

"Er, yeah, so sorry my mind drifted."
"Something bothering your mind?", I asked.
"You're so beautiful. And I've been figuring how to ask for your name."
"Haha. You're funny. I'm Marie." I smiled.
"There you go. Nice to meet you, Marie. Are you a regular visitor here?"
"Nah, in fact this is my first time. I just moved in from another state."

I got to know that he's a freshie out from college, still unemployed. He has such a good looking face, but I paid no sympathy because afterall he's just another typical richie.

"Hey, see, I've gotta go. Mom's waiting for me. Nice to meet you. Can I ask for your SIM Messenger nickname so that we could talk a bit more?"
"mariechopin, there you go. Nice to meet you too. It's been a fun game."

After that, I proceeded back to the gym and exercised til real late at midnight. Perk of being an adult.

Chapter 1.2

Gabriel really does like me. OMG. The other day while I was at work, he arranged for a bouquet of flower to be despatched down to me. With a tiny little note attached on it: "Reserved a dinner-for-two at the bistro. See you at 7." I went gaga all over. I didn't know how to feel about it anymore.

The dinner at the bistro went absolutely romantic. Not only had he reserved a table-for-two, but also pre-ordered my favorite appetizer, entree and dessert. He's really really sweet. He asked about my family.. my childhood.. my job.. but as said, everytime I tried to hint something about him, he quickly turned away from me.

I asked him why, he said he was just not comfortable about sharing anything about him. He said that could affect our budding friendship. I told him it's okay. As much as I want to grow this friendship into something, I ask him to start opening up more to me. I believe we are soulmates in one way or another. It's often a time he could finish up my thought even before I tell him abt it.

He dropped a small hint in finding out about my ideal future spouse. First of all I told him, I wanted someone older than me. I can't bear the thought of dating a highschooler, or a college attender. Gosh you could have imagined what our topics will cover daily; school, school, and school. Second of all I told him he must be someone who cares enough for me, like how he's been. He seemed flattered. And lastly, someone who's willing to carry a legacy together with me.

He didn't look as happy as how I expected. I started to suspect something even worse. As the bistro was closing for the day, I invited him to come over to my place to talk it further. I wouldn't let things get drifted away anymore this time...

He held my hand just before I could talk.

"Marie, I know this could be a big shock to you. You could get angry me for as long as you like after I tell you. You could do anything you want. Okay?"

I was speechless.

"The reason I've been covering myself up from you is because I am exactly the opposite of someone whom you will like."

"Don't say that, Gabriel..."

"I am still a highschooler. In fact I just turned 16 last month. I still go to school everyday, thus I haven't been able to pick up your calls during the day. I like you, but I was too scared to reveal who I am because I'm afraid you would leave me, which I'm most certain that you will now. But as I pondered more about it these past few days, I realized that I wouldn't want to drag your time any longer til you discover who I am. It wouldn't be fair at all to you. So I gathered my guts today just to tell you this. I am really really sorry for all these. I'm just too afraid to lose someone who could understand me so well."

I teared. I wouldn't deny that sometimes in our conversation, he still sounds highschool-ish. But most of the time he's always been there to comfort me and complement what I lack. He's been a good buddy. But as I have decided earlier, I wouldn't fancy the idea of dating someone who's still so young. Much, much younger than me. When I have finally moved on with my age of 30s, he's still there raving on his hormone.. argh! No!

"You know how bad you've let me down, Gabriel. But I'm really thankful that you tell me this now. We can still be very good buddy."

I hugged him and shortly after that he left to go home.

For that whole night I couldn't hold my tears. I was only a step away from falling for someone, and yet that someone has to be taken away...
