Chapter 2.14

Mom has been 'interrogating' this guy Nadine has been close with. Well from my observation, he's a very sweet guy. He does plumbing for a living and he truly cares for Nadine. He also respects my mom very much. I could see they're so in love with each other. Nadine told us that he's proposed last week and she had said yes. Next stop is to hold a private wedding, simply because we all can't afford a real wedding party yet :)

 

Chapter 2.13

Dad passed away due to heart attack this morning. It's a sudden loss for everyone in the family. As much as I used to hate him, I love him very much. I'm thankful for the little happy family we used to have as kids. Mom, Nadine and I paid our last respect to him this afternoon.

Much to my surprise, Bobby came as she heard the news (from unknown source.) We politely asked her to go as we're paying our very last respect to the man without whom this family wouldn't have been formed. Mom didn't seem to dwell in it for too much though, she said something to me which she really wanted me to keep as her darkest secret. "I still love Gabriel more than I've loved your dad." Who's this Gabriel guy? 

Chapter 2.12

OMGOSH what have I just seen!! Right, he so deserved it.

Being a good talker, Mason went to confront Bobby this evening. He told me that that 'beeyatch' actually cried when Mason pulled a confrontative conversation with her. But I can be assured that she's not coming back no more. Wondering what Mason could have done to her, really. Haha.

Odetta has grown into a beautiful girl now :) We went to the pool center to celebrate it. After dinner tonight, dad told me that I shall start sending Ods to school, which I found is still too early for us to do so. "I'm just afraid if you send her to school at much older age, she's just going to grow up just like you. Who chased her own father away from home."

Needless to say, mom and dad got into huge fight again. Seriously, *rolls eyes*

Look at Odetta, and tell me whom she takes after more. Me or Mason? Haha. She definitely takes after Mason's nose in my opinion. Mason and I have decided to start sending her to school next year when we're more financially stable. Meanwhile we can just homeschool her first. According to mom, she's really different from me as a kid. She's more towards Nadine's personality who's much calmer and sweeter. She's pretty smart, just then her laziness takes her away more.  Time to educate this young lady. Nadine is very close to her too, which I'm very glad for.

Nadine has been seeing this guy, our plumber. She's been telling Odetta lotsa stories about this guy, which then Ods leaked to me! Haha. Well but I guess that's no harm, I want the best person to be my sister's husband that's for sure. From what I've been hearing from Ods, he's a very sweet guy. He often brings Nadine sweet tarts from the bistro yet also at the same time been advising her to exercise more. He's very friendly to Odetta that this young girl starts to put a liking on him too. Well, hopefully this is for real for Nadine. :) So happy for her.

Chapter 2.11

I was diagnosed with light vertigo last week, all thanks to the stress. But looking at the bright side, things are getting much much better. Dad came home two days ago, but he's still pulling a long face towards me.

Mom told me though that dad has apologized to her and they're kinda back in good terms again. Well let's just hope it's for real this time. I mean, I wouldn't want Odetta to grow up in such unhealthy environment.

 

Chapter 2.10

So sorry if I haven't been updating anything about Odetta. Having her in our family is something really new. Sometimes it still takes me 'courage' to pull myself out from bed just to breastfeed her. She hates loneliness, so as much as possible we have to be vigilant around her at all times. Just like me, she's also very impatient. Haha. Like grandmother, like mother, like daughter :P

On the other hand, I've been itchy on finding a job. Many offers came in, but I gotta be selective. Mom's boss also has personally extended her invitation to have me work for them, but it is going to be a total different department from mom's. God knows how things will turn out if they have two stone-headed women inside one room. Haha.

Mason and I are back to good term, but not for mom and dad. They're still in pretty intense situation. Sighs. To break myself from all these stress, I've signed up myself as a spa member, and while I'm away I'm quite lucky to have mom and Nadine to take care of Ods...

 

Chapter 2.9

The situation at home is still at its lowest point.

Having Bobby visiting at night is such a norm already. I've kept telling mom to do something about this, but she said "Honey, when you're really touched by love, you wouldn't have your sane mind to guide you anymore. I'm sure everything will be okay again." COME ON MOM! She yelled at me instead for getting so impatient.

Things aren't getting any better between me and Mason either. We had huge war just now after dinner. "Would you calm down Nala?? Do you think this will be good for Odetta to hear and see all these? It will affect her growth!! Would you please stay calm???????"

"Mase, what would you do if you're the eldest in the family and your dad is having an affair with a maid? And a mom who's already at her dusk age. I want to keep this family happy! And what should I do?????? Just stay calm and do nothing?"

"You're really insane, Nala! I will bring Odetta out of this house for a week til things get better!!"

"You're not taking away my baby!!!!!" Then he slammed the door and left me.


On the other hand, mom and dad also had a massive fight.

"Parker, I don't understand! What had I not given you that made you want to have this tacky affair with the maid?"

"The maid? Her name is Bobby, Marie. Please respect her. She's just a friend..."
"Friend you said???? Then what did I see this morning? You thought I was blind? So blind huh?"

"I know I did something wrong! I know! But that's because I love her too."
"You love her TOO????" and dad walked away.

"Hey", mom said, and she gave him a tight slap. Bobby went over to pick him up, but I told them two to just get out.

Later on I found mom and I talked to her. "Mom, I know how you feel."
"Why Nala? Why must this happen to me now? I thought we were the happiest family in Sunset Valley..."
"Mom..." I hugged her and we both cried.

Later on I text dad, "Dad, please go away before you clear your mind. Come back only when you have your sanity intact. Til then!"

Chapter 2.8

My due date came 2 months earlier than expected! Doctor said it could also be because of the stress I'm currently into. Thanks to dad! I was clearly not prepared! I haven't even started 'nesting' yet! But luckily there was mom. She's the one who kept telling me, "It's okay honey you'll make it. I'm always here for you okay." And Mason has been a bit ignorant lately. I've given him less attention. Argh!! This Dad-Bobby thing is driving my family chaotic!

Anyway meet my darling baby girl. We name her Odetta. We can't tell yet whose figure she takes after.

But anyway, I still would like to rant about dad. On my due date, Nadine told me that she peeped through the bedroom door, and they... argh...

Thank God nothing happened to my pregnancy.
